Having a full assessment leading to a diagnostic report is time consuming (it takes about half a day with an assessor) and can be costly.

It may be useful for you to undergo some form of screening:

  • If you are at college or university, you can ask for a preliminary screening test.  Go to the learning support services department, and talk about your concerns.
  • Dyslexia Positive has a number of checklists for dyslexia related to specific jobs.  You could try out one of those.
  • If you want to do a simple online screening, there are a number available online.  Some are free and some will charge a fee.  Here is an example of a free online questionnaire:
